Design Guide

Every detail makes the difference: Discover how you can create your very own stationery using paper, color and finishing techniques.

Printing techniques

From classic letterpress to elegant embossing: Choose the printing technique that makes your story visible and tangible in the most beautiful way.

Our focus is on traditional printing techniques. We only use digital printing for a few supplementary details, such as name cards.

Letterpress

In classic letterpress printing, the design is embossed into the paper with high pressure and simultaneously inked. This creates fine indentations that can not only be seen but also felt. This gives each card a special depth and quality.

Blind debossing

Blind debossing works similarly to letterpress, but without ink. The design becomes visible solely through the impression in the paper, creating an elegant, subtle look that plays beautifully with light and shadow.

Embossing

With embossing, the opposite effect is created: instead of an impression pressed into the paper, the design is raised in relief. This is achieved using a die and counter-die that mold the paper between them. The result is a sculptural effect that stands out visibly and can be felt to the touch.

Signature Paper

Our signature papers from Gmund, made from 100% cotton and available in natural tones, provide a timeless foundation for refined designs. They are perfectly suited for letterpress and pair beautifully with all ink colors.

Choose between 300gsm or 600gsm — for a particularly substantial paper that highlights the tactile qualities of letterpress in an impressive way.

Colored papers

In addition to our signature papers in neutral tones, we offer a selection of colored papers. Available in 350g or 540g , they add special accents and give your stationery an individual touch.

Handmade paper

Made from natural fibres, this paper is defined by its characteristic deckled edges. Each sheet is unique — slight variations in texture and shape are part of its charm. Additional colours are available upon request.

Envelopes

In addition to our signature papers in neutral tones, we offer a selection of colored papers. Available in 350g or 540g , they add special accents and give your stationery an individual touch.

Details & Embellishments

With selected embellishments, you can personalize your stationery and add special accents.

Envelope Liner

Envelope liners add special touches and make opening your invitation a surprising highlight.

Transparent Vellum Wraps

Wrapping your stationery in a vellum wrap creates an elegant frame and gives the set a special depth. The semi-transparent paper allows your design to subtly show through, while the print on it is rendered with fine detail.

Individual Seal Stamps

A custom-made seal stamp adds a distinctive touch and makes your stationery particularly personal – whether with your initials, names or your own design.

Personalized illustration

A hand-drawn detail that makes your design unique – such as your wedding location, a special building, or a symbol that connects you.

Gold leaf edges

Each corner is hand-finished with genuine gold leaf, creating a unique texture and an elegant, refined detail.
